Description:

The Halifax Port Authority (HPA) is a federally mandated organization responsible for managing Halifax Harbour and its critical infrastructure. Our role is to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations that support Canadas trade and tourism sectors.

The HPA oversees all commercial and recreational vessels within the port. This includes ships that are navigated, anchored, or tied up.

We work closely with community partners to maintain navigational safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring the harbour remains accessible, enjoyable, and safe for all users including recreational boaters.
